St. Andrew Elementary School opened in 1960. At present, the school serves between 175 and 200 kindergarten to Grade 6 students. St. Andrew Elementary serves the communities of Glamorgan, Richmond Hill, and designated areas of Glenbrook & Rutland Park. The majority of our grade six students will go on to St. Gregory Junior High School. St. Andrew School is part of the Calgary Roman Catholic School District No. 1. As a small school, St. Andrew emphasizes a "family" culture where each individual grows by helping others to grow. As a school community, we are committed to fostering the growth of each individual in our care.
Glamorgan is situated in a well-established south west community. The school was built in 1958 and is the Traditional Learning Centre for Area IV and the community school of Glamorgan.
Our population is 293 students. Fifty-seven students are in Grades 5 and 6 in the regular program and 236 students from Kindergarten to Grade 4 are in the Traditional Learning Centre (TLC) program of choice. Each year the Traditional Learning Centre program will increase a grade until there is a full elementary program offered in the TLC for Area IV students. We value the diverse needs of all learners and provide flexible groupings to meet their needs. We are involved with the International Bureau in welcoming students from around the world to share our learning experiences.
